Christoph is a senior finance professional with extensive exposure to projects in the telecommunications industry in Europe, the Middle East, South America and Africa. Strong professional background in structuring and funding limited-recourse infrastructure projects in Sub-Saharan Africa and transaction-related finance (financing, due diligence processes, bid books, business case modelling, valuation, M&A projects). Well-structured, client-centric and result-oriented working style with the ability to present on board level and negotiate complex commercial and legal agreements. International mindset and cultural awareness from more than 30 international assignments. Fluent in German, English and Spanish.
Prior to joining dotadvisors Christoph has worked for Nedbank CIB (2011 – 2016) as a Senior Transactor in Infrastructure Finance team with focus on funding large telecommunication and other infrastructure projects.
Christoph was Partner and head of the “Transaction Services” team at Detecon International between 2001 – 2011. Amongst many other projects he carried-out and was responsible for the technical and commercial due diligence (incl. set-up of operational business case) of Neotel for a South African banking consortium resulting in the then largest project finance deal in the African Telco environment.
Strong deal-specific corporate finance know-how (transactions, due diligence processes, business planning, financial modelling, valuation) as well as operative leadership experience (6-months CFO interim manager responsible for 60 head finance department in Bolivia); deep commercial and technical knowledge in the telecommunication sector. Structuring complex project finance transactions from origination to closing; financial engineering of project finance models incl. junior debt/mezzanine instruments, DFI tranches, export credit facilities and other risk mitigation instruments.
